Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field or relevant work experience.3+ years of experience in database administration, information technology, database architecture, or a related field.Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server and related Microsoft technologies.Experience in troubleshooting and resolving database problems.Experience with data management and data processing flowcharting techniques.Knowledge of database design and scripting using SQL.Familiarity with database security, backup and recovery, and performance monitoring standards.Familiarity and experience with Azure SQL a plus.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work independently and in a team environment.Must be detail-oriented and logical. Key Responsiblities:Administer, maintain, develop, and implement policies and procedures for ensuring the security and integrity of the company database.Perform database administration tasks, including backup, recovery, performance tuning, and space management using Microsoft SQL Server and related technologies.Implement and oversee database policies and procedures to ensure the integrity and availability of databases and their accompanying software.Assess and develop long-term strategic goals for production databases in conjunction with data owners and department managers.Work closely with IT managers, DBAs and software developers.Respond to and resolve database access and performance issues.Monitor database system details within the database, including stored procedures and execution time, and implement efficiency improvements.Ensure that storage, archiving, backup, and recovery procedures are functioning correctly.Conduct research and make recommendations on database products, services, protocols, and standards in support of procurement and development efforts.
