Responsibilities:
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children in the daycare
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities and curriculum to promote child development
- Supervise and engage children in play and learning activities
- Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all children in your care
- Maintain open and effective communication with parents/guardians regarding their child's progress and daily activities
- Follow established policies and procedures for the daycare center
- Collaborate with other daycare staff to create a positive and inclusive environment
Skills:
- Experience in nannying, babysitting, or caregiving roles
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and practices
- Ability to provide age-appropriate care and education for toddlers, preschoolers, and infants
- Familiarity with early childhood education techniques and curriculum planning
- Strong classroom management skills to create a structured learning environment
- Understanding of special education needs and accommodations for children with disabilities or developmental delays
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to build positive relationships with children
Note:
Additional skills such as CPR/First Aid certification or fluency in multiple languages may be preferred or required depending on the specific daycare center.
