1st MidAmerica Credit Union Structured Compensation - Job Description Dealer Services Analyst Role: Receives and processes loan applications from dealers of the Indirect Program and makes the determination to approve or deny indirect loans within authorized limits.
Records loan applications and documentation in the data processing systems.
Updates and maintains loan account information.
Builds and maintains a good rapport with the existing dealers of the indirect program and keeps them informed of current loan rates, terms and procedures.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities: 40%Assumes the responsibilities of the analyst during time of high volume.
Analyzes a loan applicant's credit worthiness by reviewing credit bureaus reports, credit score and verifying information included on the loan applications, as necessary to determine feasibility of granting loan.
Makes determination to approve or deny indirect loans within authorized limits.
Informs dealer of loan decision including any changes or restrictions.40%Receives indirect loan applications from dealer of the Indirect Program and esnures documents are complete and accurate according to policies and compliance regulations.
Responsible for entering application data into the lending software and core systems.10%Cultivates a good rapport with current and potential dealer partners of the Indirect Program.
Responsible for dealer relationship building through dealer visits and phone calls.
Ensures program changes are communicated effectively and timely, including loan rates, terms and procedures.10%Assumes additional responsibilities during times of high volume and assists, when necessary with reporting, task management, dealer engagement promotions, and other job-related duties as assigned.
Performance Measurements: 1.To ensure all documentation is completed in compliance with credit union policy and regulatory guidelines.2.To fund, organize and complete member loan files in a consistent and timely manner with accuracy.3.To maintain a reputation as a quality partner within the dealer network.4.To maintain a working knowledge of the credit union's loan standards and guidelines.5.To maintain a dependable record of attendance and timeliness.
Knowledge and Skills: ExperienceTwo years of similar or related experience in lending environment processing, funding, underwriting loans.EducationA high school education or GED.Interpersonal SkillsWork involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation.
Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication.Other SkillsKnowledge of legislation, regulation, policies and procedures pertaining to lending practices.
Basic understanding of the collection process Complete knowledge of the indirect lending program.
Knowledge of lending software and data processing systems.
Proficient with Microsoft products including Outlook, Word and Excel.
