POSITION LOCATION: On campus position located in Fort Morgan, CO
PURPOSE/SUMMARY OF JOB: The Dean of Students provides leadership, oversight and management for student conduct, CARE Team, Title IX process, Testing Center, and Student Life. In addition, this position will assist the Vice President of Student Services by coordinating various projects and reports. This position will administer the student conduct process and adjudicate alleged violations by students or student organizations in a fair and timely manner. This position will chair the CARE Team and ensure compliance with Title IX, VAWA and the Clery Act. This position will supervise the Student Life Coordinator and Testing Coordinator. The Dean of Students will stay current on best practices, trends in student affairs, state / federal policies, and all matters related to students. The Dean of Students shall perform all duties while promoting opportunities for inclusion, expressing the valuing of differences, and regularly demonstrating the college's commitment to the Guiding Principles.
For information about MCC, see the college web site: REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Master's degree in Student Development, Higher Education, Counseling or a related field from an accredited institution or a Bachelor's degree and three (3) years of full-time student services experience. Exceptional organizational and time management with demonstrated ability to plan, coordinate, prioritize, and effectively execute multiple initiatives, programs, and events, while meeting established deadlines. Strong interpersonal communication with a demonstrated ability to establish and develop productive and collegial relationships with college constituencies (e.g., students, staff, faculty, managers, etc.). Strong customer service skills. Ability to manage and resolve difficult and complex student situations, respond promptly to student needs and solicit student feedback to improve service. Ability to work with confidential and sensitive information and records. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in writing and verbally. Ability to approach others in a tactful manner, react well under pressure, treat all others with respect and consideration and accept responsibility for one's own actions. Computer skills in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Outlook. Ability to quickly learn new systems, such as student information systems and web-based portals. Ability to work occasional long and irregular hours as necessary. Ability to travel as necessary to carry out job duties. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Doctoral degree in Higher Education or a related discipline from an accredited institution. Community college administrative experience. Student conduct experience. Anticipated Start Date: July 2024
Salary and Benefits: $91,100 to $104,270 based on education, skills and experience. Candidates with a Doctoral degree and/or additional years of experience may receive an extra $4,100 base increase. Benefits include health, life, dental and vision insurance, LTD & benefit package including tuition reimbursement in accordance with Colorado Community College and Occupational Education System policies. No relocation assistance is provided.

MCC is located on I-76, 80 miles northeast of Denver and approximately 100 miles east of Rocky Mountain National Park. MCC provides high quality transferable courses and career & technical education culminating in a variety of certificate, associate, and baccalaureate degree programs through traditional, innovative, and non-traditional delivery methods in an 11,500 square mile regional area of eastern Colorado.
The College serves this vast, rural, agricultural area from its main campus in Fort Morgan and through four regional locations in Bennett, Limon, Burlington and Wray. These locations are 75 to 150 miles from the campus in Fort Morgan.
