Decontamination/Jr. Health Physics Technician - Unitech

UniTech is seeking a reliable and hardworking Decontamination/Jr. Health Physics Technician. ORSC's core business is the processing of Low-Level Radioactive Waste. Responsibilities: Decontamination of contaminated radiological tools and equipment and assist Sr. Health Physics Technicians with evaluating radiological conditions, job coverage, air sampling and routine facility surveys. Package and sort incoming waste materials to determine if the waste meets UniTech's Bulk Survey for Release Program. Learn and maintain unrestricted radiological release surveys and techniques and provide detailed recordkeeping. QualificationsRequirements: High school and/or GED equivalent is required. Prior experience working in Nuclear Power Facilities, DOE Laboratories, Other Radiological Licensed Facilities. Prior experience as a Jr. HP/Decontamination Technician is preferred. Knowledgeable in the Periodic Table of the Elements and the Chart of the Nuclides. Proficient in MS Excel and Word. Must be at least 21 years of age or older. Ability to learn Canberra Genie 2k ISOCS modeling. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to travel up to 10%. Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50lbs in a non-climate-controlled building on a concrete floor. UniFirst is an equal opportunity employer.
