The Pre-Owned team is seeking a Senior Sales Operations and Planning Manager to lead the Trade-in and pre-owned planning and operational processes.
The role is responsible for building and managing planning and forecasting with the intent of maximizing the operational capacity of our suppliers, and revenue recovery from the pre-owned sales.
The role operates in partnership with the pre-owned sales, the operations, finance and Reverse Logistics stakeholders.
In this highly visible senior role, you will be responsible for ensuring efficiencies across the Vendor operations as well as the Sales to provide our customers the product that they want, when they want.
You will need to be comfortable with ambiguity, large amount of data and be able to distill and propose improvements ensuring revenue recovery and healthy inventory.


Key job responsibilities
- Leading the sales and operations forecasting and planning processes for the Trade-in Operations and the Pre-Owned Sales.
This also means being the key point of contact for the Trade-in Vendor Managers, Sales Managers and the Reverse Logistics partners.
- Build, monitor and manage all the Key performance metrics health for planning and forecasting.
- Provide strategic insights to drive efficiencies in refurbishment and operational processes (both internal and external).
- Manage the Launch and End of Sales Processes across all categories.
- Monitor and influence stakeholder supply related performance tracking metrics.
- Contribute towards the annual operational planning processes in partnership with the Devices Reverse Logistics and Finance Teams.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS- 5+ years of data querying languages (e.g.
SQL), scripting languages (e.g.
Python) or statistical/mathematical software (e.g.
R, SAS, Matlab, etc.)

- 4+ years of data scientist experience
- Experience with statistical models e.g.
multinomial logistic regression
- Bachelor's degree, or 5+ years of professional or military experience
- Experience working with complex data sets
- Experience communicating results to senior leadership
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- 2+ years of data visualization using AWS QuickSight, Tableau, R Shiny, etc.

- Experience as a leader and mentor on a data science team
- Knowledge of statistics or other analytical techniques

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets.
The base pay for this position ranges from $143,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $247,600/year in our highest geographic market.
Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
Amazon is a total compensation company.
