Demand Planning Associate Location Sarasota, FL : General Summary Supports the Demand Planning & Forecasting Team by providing demand planning, inventory management, order fulfillment, and customer support for select retain accounts. Develops appropriate relationships with vendors/customers/operations to facilitate a mutually beneficial business relationships with our customers. Additionally, supports sales in various administrative duties that foster and promote future sales growth.
Responsibilities Supports maintenance of inventory targets by product category and customer, while ensuring supply is adjusted on a monthly basis to support inventory goals. Supports Excess and Obsolete (E&O) program for assigned accounts while working with Sales, Production Planning, Finance and external liquidators to minimize scrap. Work with IT on additional system improvements to enhance the demand planning process. Ensures customer requirement compliance according to customer profile for assigned accounts. Performs daily customer open order review to ensure delivery compliance per require commitment dates. Maintains due dates to provide delivery schedule priority to shipping area. Identifies gaps between sales orders and forecast data via Sales Order on Hold Report and communicates information to Sales and Marketing. Resolves customer inquiries working together with Sales and Finance teams. Collects customer data to improve service, increase sales, and investigate non-compliance issues with customers. Follows up with respective internal departments to ensure future compliance. Manages and improves product life cycle for all designated accounts. Assists sales account managers in the daily management of assigned accounts. Participates in daily account sales support with customer, broker and sales manager. Other duties as assigned. Education & Experience High school diploma required. Bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain, Statistics or related field preferred. Additional training or coursework in demand planning, inventory management, customer logistics a plus. Prior use of ERP/MRP systems a plus.
Skills & Abilities Must possess excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) and enjoy working with a diverse customer/employee base. Must be proficient in the use of computer systems. Must be able to gain strong proficiency in working with customer and product data, especially use of spreadsheets and databases. Must be highly-organized, a self-starter able to prioritize and carry out multiple functions simultaneously. Knowledge of CPG and distribution structures, policies and procedures preferred.
