Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our team.
As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a vital role in providing excellent oral healthcare to our patients.
Your main responsibilities will include performing dental cleanings, educating patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, and assisting the dentist during procedures.
The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a passion for promoting dental health.
Responsibilities: - Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling, root planing, and polishing - Take and develop dental x-rays - Assess patients' oral health and provide appropriate treatment recommendations - Administer local anesthesia as needed - Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized oral care instructions - Assist the dentist during procedures by handing them instruments and ensuring patient comfort - Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using electronic medical records systems (Epic, Eaglesoft) - Adhere to all HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality - Follow infection control protocols to maintain a safe and clean dental office environment Experience: - Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Dental Hygienist - Proficiency in performing dental cleanings, taking x-rays, and administering local anesthesia - Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and instruments - Familiarity with electronic medical records systems (Epic, Eaglesoft) - Strong communication skills to effectively educate patients on oral health practices - Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with other dental professionals - Experience working with patients of all ages, including pediatrics Join our team of dedicated dental professionals and make a difference in the lives of our patients.
