Full job description Dental Receptionist/Front Desk Specialist About Us: Woodburn Modern Dental is a well-established dental practice dedicated to providing exceptional dental care to our patients. We are seeking a highly organized and friendly Dental Receptionist to join our team. As a Dental Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our patients and play a vital role in ensuring a positive and welcoming experience for everyone who visits our practice.
Job Description: The Dental Receptionist will be responsible for managing the front desk operations and performing various administrative tasks to support the smooth functioning of the dental office. The ideal candidate should possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, strong attention to detail, and a customer-focused mindset.
Responsibilities: Greet and welcome patients with a friendly and professional demeanor. Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage the appointment calendar efficiently. Verify patient information and update records accurately in the practice management software. Collect and process payments, including insurance claims, co-pays, and outstanding balances. Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines at all times. Provide patients with necessary forms and paperwork, ensuring completion and accuracy. Manage patient records and ensure they are organized and up to date. Assist patients with any inquiries, address their concerns, and provide exceptional customer service. Coordinate with dental staff to ensure a smooth patient flow and efficient scheduling. Perform general administrative tasks such as filing, photocopying, and data entry. Keep the reception area clean and presentable, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. Communicate with dental suppliers to order and maintain inventory of office and front desk supplies. Assist in coordinating marketing and promotional activities, including social media updates and community outreach initiatives. Contribute to a positive team environment and collaborate with colleagues to achieve practice goals. Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent qualification. Previous experience in a dental office or medical receptionist role is preferred. Proficiency in using dental practice management software. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Exceptional customer service skills and a friendly, professional demeanor. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping and data entry. Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment. Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and insurance processes is a plus. Fluency in Spanish is preferred.
