Position Summary: DAWSON is currently seeking applicants to fill our exam and treatment dentist positions located throughout the state of California to support medical readiness services for the California Army National Guard (CAARNG).
Exams and treatment will be performed in mobile and portable settings at the client's location of choice.
Work is primarily on weekends, with some occasional weekdays and will be at varying sites throughout California.
All work is a part-time "as needed" basis.
DAWSON provides dental and health readiness services to maintain a deployable military force for the CAARNG.
Hourly Pay Range: $100 to $115 based on experience
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Complete examinations/screenings and ensure accurate charting on military formsComplete comprehensive dental treatment to include restorative, endodontic, and/or oral surgery proceduresDocument findings/completed treatments on military forms and properly classify soldiersWork collaboratively with event teamSafeguard all soldiers' informationEnsures all actions comply with HIPAA and other appropriate federal/state laws and regulationsQUALIFICATIONS: Active California dental license, with no restrictionsCurrent and active Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) number is preferredCPR/BLS certificationProfessional liability insurance policyHave a valid US driver's licenseBasic computer knowledge and skillsUtilization of universal precautions for patient careAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changes quicklyAbility to work for lengthy periods and perform accurately with adequate speedComfort in working in a mobile dental settingMust be solution orientedMust submit no less than two professional references with resumeExperience working in a military setting and working knowledge of the regulations and policies that apply to Dental Readiness Classification (DRC) and deployment is preferredPHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT: Occasionally required to stand, walk and bendContinually required to sitContinually required to utilize hand and finger dexterityContinually required to talk and hearDAWSON is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action/VEVRAA federal contractor.
