Shriners Children's is the premier pediatric burn, orthopaedic, spinal cord injury, cleft lip and palate, and pediatric subspecialties medical center. We have an opportunity for a Department Assistant II in Patient Access.  The Department Assistant II assists in the pre-registration and documentation of new patient's medical records. Assists in processing of intake patient referrals and serves as a backup for incoming switchboard calls. The Department Assistant II coordinates removal and destruction of patient information per established procedures.

Current full Covid-19 vaccination status required. Education High School Diploma or GED required
 
Experience Six months scheduling/registration in a healthcare setting preferred.
Six months computer knowledge preferred.
