Responsibilities
• Provide overall leadership for the department• Educate and mentor students• Guide faculty and staff• Facilitate TPR processes, committees, advisory board(s), and other key policies and organizational elements• Lead day-to-day operations and financial administration of the department• Engage with college and university leadership teams• Work with various stakeholders across the university, community, and alumni• Provide leadership and coordination on all academic matters• Design and develop appropriate academic curricular offerings• Lead high impact, cross-disciplinary research• Engage with internal and external stakeholders• Position the department for maximum visibility and impact• Pursue appropriate philanthropic opportunities• Qualify for a tenured faculty position at the rank of Full Professor in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering
Requirements
• Earned doctorate in Chemical Engineering or a closely related field• Solid record of scholarly research and publication• Experience with a diversified base of externally funded research• Commitment to excellence in teaching• Ability to recruit and mentor a diverse group of talent• Demonstration of strong leadership and communication skills
