Summary The Department Manager has a key role in building market growth by locating, developing, negotiating, and closing business relationships in the contract drilling services sector. \n Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Interviews and selects employees to fill vacant positionsReview clerical and personnel records to ensure completeness, accuracy, and timelinessKeeps records of personnel transactions such as timesheets, benefits, new hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, and terminations.Forwards necessary documentation to the Human Resources Department and/or Payroll for recordkeeping purposesResponds and/or investigates employee inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programsReview clerical and personnel records to ensure completeness, accuracy, and timelinessCoordinate and allocate resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to ensure project requirements are metPrepare project budgets and allocate resources effectively to meet project deadlines and financial targetsMonitor project progress, identify and resolve issues, and adjust plans as necessaryConduct regular site visits and inspections to ensure compliance with project specifications and safety regulationsRegular attendance is requiredFollows safety procedures Other duties may be assigned Required Qualifications:Valid Florida Driver's License with an acceptable driving record (in accordance with our Driver's License and Motor Vehicle Record Check Criteria) Ability to pass a background check screening in accordance with Florida's Jessica Lunsford Act (or equivalent state classification) Bachelor's degree (B.S.) from four-year college or university Registered Professional Engineer within the State of FloridaAbility to read & write, including interpreting documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals, as well as the ability to write routine reports and correspondence and speak effectively with colleagues, supervisors, and customers/clientsMathematical skills sufficient to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals At least 10 years of related experience and/or trainingReasoning ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, and diagram formAbility to read & write, including interpreting documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals, as well as the ability to write routine reports and correspondence and speak effectively with colleagues, supervisors, and customers/clientsComputer skills sufficient to operate a laptop, including sending and receiving emails, and the ability to learn Field Data Collection (FDC)/Inspector Gadget to input data and prepare reports Mathematical skills sufficient to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals Reasoning ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, and diagram form Preferred Qualifications:Experience with Deltek Vision  Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)Experience with Adobe Experience with SAP ConcurPreferred experience managing personnel in A/E/C firm
