Department Manager Structure

Department Manager – Structure – We are looking for a team member in our Transportation Design Group with the desire to run/grow our Structure Department.
Responsibilities: Perform structure design tasks on transportation improvement projectsPrepare plans, specifications, and estimates for contract biddingAssist with field inspections of bridges and culvertsComplete designated assignments and report progress to project engineersMentor, review, and check work of junior staffPerform field views and attend on-site and off-site meetingsParticipate in proposal development, project scoping, and project staffing projectionsWork collaboratively with other team members, consultants, and our clientsAttend professional organization meetings to build relationships and assist with business developmentQualifications: 12+ years of direct experience in the design of transportation projectsBS in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited university is requiredStrong work ethicAbility to work in a team environmentExcellent written and verbal communication skillsFundamental of Engineering (FE)/Engineer in Training (EIT) certification required, PE License preferredMicroStation experience requiredProficient knowledge of AASHTO bridge design code, PennDOT bridge design software, and structural analysis programs such as STAAD requiredAbility to perform project site visitsPennDOT/PA Turnpike experience preferredSAI is an Employee-Owned corporation with a comprehensive benefit package offering:
