Department of Psychiatry and Biobehavioral Sciences General Faculty Search: Health Sciences Clinical Professor Series University of California Los Angeles Requisition Number: JPF09807 The Department of Psychiatry and Biobehavioral Sciences in UCLA's David Geffen School of Medicine (DGSOM) is seeking faculty to work as a part of a team emphasizing high quality, patient-centered psychiatric in-patient and/or outpatient care. Applicants specializing in adult, geriatric, and child and adolescent psychiatry are invited to apply. This is an outstanding opportunity to join an established department of Psychiatry and Biobehavioral Sciences with an international reputation of excellence in education, research, and patient care. Time is allocated for didactic teaching, case conferences, and supervision of trainees. The successful candidate also will evaluate and treat their own patients. In addition, they will engage in scholarly or creative activities derived from and in support of their clinical teaching, professional, and service activities. The department seeks applicants with a demonstrated commitment to academic and clinical excellence and diversity within our faculty, staff, and trainees. Teaching and supervisory experience of residents, fellows, and medical students is preferred. This recruitment is conducted at the Instructor/Assistant/Associate rank in the Health Sciences Clinical Professor series. Determination of rank and step will be based upon background, training, experience, and overall track record.
