DescriptionDeputy Chief Financial Officer EIS is recruiting for a Deputy Chief Financial Officer. This role will lead, coordinate, administer, and control all financial operations. This role functions as the "right hand" of the CFO and is heavily involved in strategic, budgeting and planning activities.
Key ResponsibilitiesProvide timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial reports, and financial trends to the CEO, CFO and Board of Directors.Work with the CEO, Senior Leadership team and the Board of Directors to ensure the company's mission, goals, and objectives are achieved through prudent and compliant fiscal management.Develop and implement financial strategies, policies and procedures to ensure fiscal accountability.Monitor and analyze financial performance, providing guidance and recommendations to the CFO and other senior-level management.Actively participate in strategic planning and establishment of financial objectives with the CEO and executive leadership team.Collaboratively develop an operating plan, goals, and budgets, and align resources.Develop and maintain strong relationships with banks, financial institutions and investors.Prepare, review and sign-off on monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements filed with internal management, board of directors, banks and lenders.Monitor and review new financial reporting and regulatory requirements, including interpretations of guidance and application as it pertains to the company's financial reporting process.Coordinate and communicate with other departments across the organization. Board of Directors and Executive ReportingCapture, analyze, and deliver financial data and insights that maximize strategic decision making for the executive team and the Board of Directors.Prepare and present all financial reporting and presentations with underlying assumptions and forecasts.Provide timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial reports, and financial trends to the CEO and Board.Effective communicator and influencer with investors, board members, and external stakeholders.Actively participate in strategic planning and establishment of financial objectives with the CEO and executive leadership team. Financial Planning & AnalysisExpertise in financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow optimization.Monitor and analyze financial performance, providing guidance and recommendations to the CFO and other senior-level management.Implement and evolve FP&A processes to support scalable growth.Collaboratively develop an operating plan, goals, and budgets, and align resources to these goals.Conduct financial analysis, prepare reports, and create forecasts to support informed decision-making.Requires proven experience in SaaS, Enterprise Software or related fields.Addresses tight deadlines and a multitude of finance and accounting activities including general ledger preparation, management and financial reporting, year-end audit preparation, and the support of budget and forecast activities.In coordination with the CFO, works with the appropriate staff to ensure a clean and timely year end audit.Oversees the preparation and review of annual department budgets, business plans and performance measures.Collaborates with other department budget managers to support overall department goals and objectives. Departmental and Global Team LeadershipStrategic partner to the CEO, CFO and executive leadership team in business model and growth strategy development.Provide departmental leadership to a 50 person global financial organization.Directing all aspects of financial and accounting operations.Works with each direct report to establish goals and objectives for each year and monitors and advises on the progress to enhance the professional development of staff.Coordinates processes involved with special projects and any additional required analysis requested by the CFO or other divisional leaders.Provides supervision of employees; assigns and reviews work; provides broad direction, oversees department/division policy and procedure standards, and evaluates performance of direct employees.Reviews and resolves internal issues; participates in the development and implementation of policies and strategic direction for the department.Advises staff regarding the handling of non-routine reporting transactions.Past experience in successful M&A execution and integration, including due diligence and post-merger integration. Skills, Knowledge and ExpertiseGraduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a degree in accounting, finance, or public administration, or a closely related field.Eight (8) years CFO experience or #2 finance leader in high-growth SaaS companies, ideally with private equity exposure.Proven experience in SaaS, Software Product, Enterprise Software, or related industry.Large team leadership (30+).Proven background presenting to a Board of Directors.Previous experience in Management Accounting strongly desired.Knowledge of budgetary, accounting and reporting systems and IFRS and US GAAP.Knowledge of ERM/Accounting systems. CompensationThe targeted pay range for this position is $250,000 - 330,000 yr; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
