Capability Unit

Metrea Strategic Mobility (MSM) operates a fleet of KC-135 aircraft, offering an air-to-air refueling service that seamlessly, safely, and professionally integrates into military aviation training and operations.


Position Summary

This role is responsible for supporting the Program Manager in all NAVAIR contract activities and assists to ensure all performance and contract standards are adhered to under the terms of the contract and in accordance with company standards and policies.
This position will be involved in all aspects of the program, including financial, logistical, schedule, and reporting.
This role will also provide detailed metrics to include historical trends, forecasts and regular reporting to support customer driven requests.


Role and Responsibilities Support the Program Manager in day-to-day management of assigned programs from proposal to completion and ensuring that deadlines are met.
Assist with reviewing, contributing to and ensuring all deliverables presented to the client are accurate, transparent and ready to be presented.
Identifies and assesses program issues and helps develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality and client satisfaction goals and objectives.
Assists with the centralized planning, direction, and control requirements to meet the cost, schedule, and performance goals throughout the lifecycle of assigned programs.
Tracks progress against the program plan milestones.
Works independently and exercises reasonable discernment with little supervision while providing clear documentation of activities and accomplishments aligned with approved NAVAIR policies and processes.
Monitor the business development of existing customers and assists the Program Manager in current program areas.
Monitor project /proposal process and assists the proposal team members to identify opportunities related to respective program areas.
In the absence of the Program Manager must be able to seamlessly carry out all related tasks and serve as a program representative to management teams and in weekly meetings with the customer.
Participate in customer program reviews and meetings as necessary.
High degree of discretion and confidentiality required.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned by the Program Manager.
Skills and Experience Education: Bachelor's degree in STEM, finance or business-related field; or 10+ years of program/project management experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
Experience: 3+ years of aviation program/project management or working with government contracts.
High level of learning, strategic thinking, team building, conflict resolution and time management.
Excellent communication skills, verbally and in written format, for briefing and presentation delivery to program employees, management and customers.
Must possess a financial acumen, with ability to manage cost and schedule; proven ability to deliver on time and with utmost quality.
Must have the ability to multitask and work effectively, both individually and as a member of a project team, while ensuring timely completion of assignments.
Ability to interact with internal and external customers.
Computer Skills: Mastery in Microsoft Office Suite Programs, including Microsoft Project.
Experience with various Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems preferably Microsoft Dynamics experience.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position with typical working hours of Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Hours and work shifts may change in accordance with department and business needs.
Exempt Employees must have the ability to be on-call and available, as business needs require.
Non-Exempt employees may be required to work over 40 hours per week with approval from the department manager.
