Position Overview:
Siemens Mobility is GROWING and seeking to fill a Deputy Project Manager to be based in Wilmington, DE.
In this role you will be responsible for organizing the project from an overall perspective with the focus on cross-cutting and project management processes, tools and methods.
You will coordinate with and assist the project manager (PM) and thus support them in the mobilization and execution phase.
What your day-to-day will look like: Requirements Management - For the customer contract - Assign and track all requirements to the core team as well as subject matter experts as directed by project management.
Mapping of the complete work packages, milestones and deliverables in the project schedule, their relationships/dependencies, critical path in coordination with the schedules of the supplying units and changes in scope of delivery.
Creation and maintenance of a documentation management system and project filing system.
Create and lead the change management process to track technical and contractual changes and their impact on the maintenance strategy.
Support the PM in the fulfillment of all requirements from the maintenance contract.
Support the PM in risk and opportunity management and following up on mitigation and implementation measures.
To thrive in this role, you have: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or Business-related subject area.
In lieu of Bachelor's degree a combination of Siemens and/or rail industry experience and education will be considered.
Minimum of 2 years of experience of projects execution.
Project management of a small project or part of a core team of a big/complex project.
Motivation to drive and improve project results with ownership culture.
Well-structured and demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
Setting you apart from others would be a bachelor's degree in engineering with 3+ years of experience in project execution and structuring of projects.

The base salary range for this position in Wilmington, DE is $79,400-$107,200.
