The Dermatology Physician will be responsible for providing complete clinical care for all patients under the direction of the Medical Director and by written protocols. The Dermatology Physician works in conjunction with the Medical Director in implementing and maintaining quality care programs.
Reporting Relationship This position reports to the Chief Medical Officer.
Responsibilities The Dermatologist will diagnose and treat injuries or diseases relating to the skin, hair, and nails – including, but not limited to melanoma or other skin cancers, dermatological and/or cosmetic treatment (e.g., chemical peels, Botox), performing procedures, Mohs surgery, wound checks, etc. Responsibilities include:
Performing procedures including, but not limited to Botox, blue light treatment, punches, scrapes, etc.Documenting and updating charts and patient information to show findings and treatments.Ordering tests and consultations for other physicians or healthcare staff to perform.Reviewing test results to identify abnormal findings.Recommending, designing, and implementing short or long-term treatment plans.Addressing concerns or answering questions that patients have about their health and well-being.Helping patients take care of their health by discussing topics such as proper care and hygiene.Managing services in accordance with established Clinic's policies/procedures and contracted service under CHDP, Managed Medical Care, and other medical programs and guidelines.Required Education/Experience and Licensure/Certifications Working knowledge of e-scripts.Active California Medical License (M.D. or D.O.).Current BLS Certification.CPR Card (Adult, Child, and Infant).Medi-Care & Medi-Cal Provider.Company Overview Over the past 40 years, Chaparral Medical Group (CMG) has established itself as a leading primary and multi-specialty care provider for California's Inland Empire.
