Responsibilities Job Description Job Summary:
The Design and Construction Project Manager at M Health Fairview oversees all aspects of assigned projects, ranging from concept through design to implementation of small to medium-sized projects.
Essential to this role is a deep understanding of design and engineering principles, building codes, regulatory requirements, and construction coordination.
Projects managed by this role must support safe and reliable buildings and grounds while meeting the needs of customers.
The ability to deliver multiple projects on time and within budget is crucial.
Job Expectations: Project Management: Lead capital projects to ensure they meet customer requirements, budget constraints, and deadlines.
Manage the design and construction phases of hospital projects.Stakeholder Engagement: Meet regularly with users and other project stakeholders to understand and address their needs throughout the project lifecycle.
Develop meeting schedules and communication plans to maintain stakeholder involvement.Coordination: Coordinate activities among architects, engineers, contractors, and various internal stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
Ensure all completed projects meet Fairview's standards.Communication and Reporting: Keep customers and stakeholders well-informed about project status.
Prepare and distribute monthly meeting minutes, updated schedules, and financial status reports.
Stakeholders include Maintenance, Environmental Services, Infection Control, Information Management, Materials, and Security.Quality Improvement: Drive continuous quality improvement efforts across all project areas.
Identify, analyze, and prioritize problems, taking corrective actions as needed.Financial Management: Ensure efficient use of financial resources by reviewing project bids, collaborating on bid acceptances, and maintaining project budgets.
Update leadership on project schedule, timeline adjustments, or design changes that may lead to cost overages.Employee Relations: Foster positive employee relations through effective communication within the department.Documentation: Maintain and update the facility library of floor plan drawings to ensure accurate and accessible information for ongoing and future projects. Additional Responsibilities: Demonstrate capability to provide care or service adj (adjust) Qualifications Required: Education: Associates Degree in Interior Design or related field in Building/Construction Management.
Alternatively, 5+ years of related healthcare experience in lieu of an Associates Degree. Experience: 3 years of project management experience. Preferred: Education: Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design, Construction Management, Engineering, or Architecture. Experience: 5 - 7 years of project management experience.Experience in the healthcare industry.
