We are responsible for landscape design including hardscape, grading, planting, irrigation and water features; research, studies, illustrations, imagery boards and colored renderings; and the integration of architecture, structural elements, lighting, graphics and utilities for the area development of an individual facility/attraction, land, or theme park project. This is a 30 month Project Hire position with no guarantee of permanent placement. You Will Provide support to project lead and Principal Landscape Architect for design and implementation aspects of assigned projects Develop landscape architectural project work at all stages of assigned project lifecycle from concept, feasibility or schematic design through the preparation of construction documentation in accordance with established departmental and divisional quality standards Ensure that area development intent is achieved by effectively integrating landscape architectural design with allied fields and components such as: infrastructure, architecture, grading/drainage, lighting, graphics, structural engineering, irrigation, etc. Prepare specific work including, but not limited to: base sheets, hardscape plans, planting designs, visual intrusion studies, material schedules, etc. Support the project lead landscape architect under the leadership of the design manager, in collaboration with allied ED&E fields, Creative, Show/Ride, Design & Production and Operating partners Answer construction bid period questions and respond to and resolve field issues and questions You Will Have Six or more years experiencein landscape architecture A minimum of two years leading a team of landscape architects and designers in the production of contract documents for construction Construction phase experience including the submittal/shop drawing review process and on-site field inspections Solid understanding and experience in the use of plant and hardscape materials and products for thematic applications Strong command of AutoCAD/Civil 3D, LandFX, and Rhino Demonstrated proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign for digital illustration and documentation Practical experience with BIM tools, such as Autodesk BIM360 and Navisworks U.S. Professional License credential Required Education BLA/BSLA degree from an accredited program Preferred Education An advanced degree in landscape architecture, horticulture or land planning is desirable Benefits and Perks: Disney offers a rewards package to help you live your best life.
