We're looking for a Desktop Technician who thrives in a fun, fast-paced environment and is enthusiastic about resolving technical issues and helping others succeed. As a Desktop Technician, you'll play a critical role in smoothly transitioning people to a new company workstation. You'll use Rocket IT tools and processes to set up computers according to client security standards, with all the configuration, software, and drivers needed to be productive on day one. This role is ideal for process-oriented technologists who enjoy delivering a superior client experience through excellent attention to detail and communication. Key Responsibilities: Configuration & Deployment:Configure and deploy laptops and desktops to clients according to specific documented procedures.Ensure each workstation is set up efficiently and meets all technical and operational requirements.Utilize automation tools and scripts to streamline the setup process and reduce manual configuration time.Quality Assurance:Conduct thorough quality checks on installed software and configurations to ensure compliance with client specifications and internal standards.Perform system testing and troubleshooting to address any issues that arise during the deployment process.Document and report any discrepancies or errors encountered during configuration and take corrective actions as necessary.Collaboration & Scheduling:Work closely with the Project Coordinator to schedule the deployment of workstations, ensuring alignment with project timelines and client expectations.Provide regular status updates to the Professional Services team regarding the progress of workstation configurations and deployments.Coordinate with other team members to facilitate seamless integration and delivery of workstations.Documentation & Process Improvement:Maintain and update documentation related to workstation configuration procedures, automation scripts, and troubleshooting guides.Identify and recommend improvements to the configuration and deployment processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.Ensure all work is documented in the ticketing system and follows established protocols for change management and incident resolution.Client Interaction:Assist with the installation and setup of workstations on-site or remotely, providing exceptional service and support to clients as needed.Address client queries and provide technical support related to workstation setup and configuration.Qualifications4-year college degree (IT relevance preferred)1-2 years IT support experienceCompTIA A+ Certification (current)MD-102 Certification (current)Physical RequirementsMust be able to sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, and reachMust have visual acuityMust be able to lift up to 25 poundsCompany Culture and Benefits
