You'll have the opportunity to help developers at the most successful and sophisticated companies in the world implement and scale code AI capabilities.
We're looking for someone passionate about driving adoption and empowering engineers through creative storytelling and genuine community building.
As a Developer Advocate, you will spend 25% of your time engaging with Developers at events in-person and 75% of your time creating content and recording videos.
Job responsibilitiesAttend and host 2-5 meet-ups and events in San Francisco monthlyRepresent our user community within SourcegraphBuild apps with Sourcegraph in publicBuild integrations on top of Sourcegraph (such as teaching Sourcegraph how to use and gather information from other dev tools)Livestream and record demos of what you build for Twitter, YouTube, Twitch, etc.Be an incredibly helpful and inspirational member of our dev communityWrite technical blog postsPromote Sourcegraph on social mediaHelp connect our user community growth to our product-led growth engineHelp define what dev advocacy means at SourcegraphSkills and experienceYou are intrinsically motivated by Sourcegraph's mission.Experience as a software engineer or prolific codingTypeScript, JavaScript, and/or Go skillsAble to communicate technical concepts in a simple and engaging wayExperience creating high-quality technical writing and videosExperience working in a high-agency environment that requires ownershipBonus Points: You've established a strong following on social media platformsCompensationWe pay you an above-average salary because we want to hire the best people who are fully focused on helping Sourcegraph succeed.
Our compensation ranges are visible to every Sourcegraph teammate.
The target compensation for this role is $130,300 - $159,000 USD (depending on level & location).
