DPP is seeking a Developer III for an opportunity in Columbia, SC. Candidates must be eligible to earn a low-level US security clearance.
Work arrangement:
Hybrid, onsite 1 day per week
W2 position; 12 months

Summary:
Role will represent Data Integration layer (LEDS) in projects and work efforts across the organization.
The Developer will assist with design, documentation, and troubleshooting of Data between enterprise systems (both internally and externally).
Additionally, they will work business units and other application areas to understand requirements, and work closely with development staff to ensure integration solution meet those needs.

Understanding of Web Services/APIs – both SOAP and RESTful
OpenAPI standards, Swagger
API Gateways, especially IBM DataPower or AWS API Gateway
Preferred:
Javascript, Java, Gethub
Minimum required work experience:
4 years-of application development, systems testing or other job-related experience.
Job/class description:
Perform all phases of applications systems analysis and design. Analyze systems specifications and develop applications to support information systems processes. Prepare detailed specifications from which complex programs will be written. Design, code, test, debug, document and maintain these programs. Formulates scope and objectives through research to develop or modify complex systems.
Ensure team members understand the business requirements that drive the analysis and design of quality technical solutions, organizational standards are maintained, and applications are delivered according to project timeliness. Provide expert system knowledge, perform research, attend meetings, and review documents.
Maintain and modify programs according to specifications. Code, compile, and implement application software that is delivered on time and within budget. Evaluate basic interrelationships in immediate programming area to determine how changes in one program will affect another related area.
Test modified programs, create necessary test files and data, verify logic, debug, and write relevant documentation.
Analyze production systems, recommend systems enhancements, provide instruction to production support team. Research customer issues and determine appropriate resolutions. Coordinate implementation of modifications or enhancements.
Analyze and evaluate existing or proposed systems. Develop functional design and technical specifications, concept diagrams, and work flow diagrams and related procedures to process data using appropriate systems environment/platform. Document programs/procedures.

Communication, Requirements Gathering, Design, Flexibility, Ability to prioritize had handle multiple tasks.
Work environment:
Team handles real-time data integration across enterprise, including API development and AAA (Authentication, Authorization, and Accounting) Gateways. Current 18 members on team, consisting of developers, designers, analysts, experts, and team leaders. Team is growing, and could exceed 25 members before EOY.
Required education/equivalencies:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or other job-related degree;
OR, Associate's degree in CS, IT, or other job-related degree plus 2 years of work-related experience;
OR, 4 years job-related work experience (total 8 years without a degree)
