About The Role The Development Analyst is responsible for managing and developing commercial solar projects from early stages through to construction-ready status. This role requires a strategic thinker with intermediate solar industry knowledge, a sales background, and a proactive approach. The Development Analyst acts as a liaison between the origination and operations teams, ensuring key project entitlements are achieved. The Analyst will be responsible for following up on client requests, ensuring that deliverables are accurately assembled and forwarded to the client or the Account Manager, and supporting the origination team in external interactions on multiple accounts.
\n ResponsibilitiesManage own tasks and report progress on projects regularly to key stakeholders. Provide exceptional customer service and support throughout the sales process. Address customer inquiries, concerns, and feedback in a timely and professional manner. Manage timelines and drive projects along the scheduling critical path to ensure timely delivery and optimal resource usage. Manage internal request process for structural, roof inspections, production models, and interconnection applications. Stay apprised of the development process for various project types you are assigned (community solar, behind the meter). Collect organize and categorize critical documents and information from the client on projects within internal CRM. Drive project hand-off from origination to operations and collaborate with stakeholders to prioritize. Conduct weekly meetings with various teams as necessary. Liaise with the policy team for tracking various program rules and critical dates that impact projects. Collaborate with management to create and manage development processes. Required QualificationsOrganizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively. Communication: Strong written and verbal communication abilities. Technical Skills: Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Earth. Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail across multiple projects simultaneously. ? Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to address challenges and provide solutions efficiently. Teamwork: Capacity to work collaboratively with sales team and other departments. Knowledge of sustainability related topics: including Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) topics and trends; Strong understanding of rooftop commercial PV construction means and methods, behind-the-meter and Utility interconnections, and Power Purchase Agreements and EPC Contracts. Leadership ability: Comfortable driving high-visibility projects. Must have reliable transportation and willing to travel to various job sites.Valid Driver's License must be willing to travel to various job sites. Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. 10-20% travel required. Preferred QualificationsBachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Environmental Science/Studies, or related field. Experience through internships, employment, or coursework in renewable energy or project management/development.Technical understanding of the C&I solar development process, including utility interconnection, AHJ permitting, and construction. Familiarity with solar energy design materials, such as drawing sets and energy production models.Experience with CRM software (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics 365, Salesforce) and proficiency in ArcGIS and energy modeling tools.Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Excel Expert are a plus.
