We are looking for an ambitious and hands-on Development Engineer to take responsibility for investigating Lapping, Polishing and Grinding manufacturing processes and technologies that will help us make our diamond surface finishing technology even better.
You'll be an integral part of an experienced team of mechanical, electrical, and materials engineers, and will be encouraged to gain experience in a variety of techniques and areas.
The position in our Fremont facility will involve hands-on work with Lapping, Polishing and Grinding manufacturing equipment as well as design, execution, and interpretation of experiments.
ResponsibilitiesPersonally operating, collecting data, and analyzing the performance of Surface Finishing equipment.Assembling and implementing R&D equipment modifications and experimental materials and consumables for testing.Effectively communicating results and recommending a course of action.Working across multidisciplinary teams to attack challenges ranging from demonstration of capability to production deployment.RequirementsBachelor's degree with 1+ years of relevant experience in preferably Lapping, Polishing or Grinding.Knowledge of Lapping, Polishing and/or Grinding manufacturing equipment and associated components (Plates, Pads, Conditioning disks, Grinding Wheels, Slurry formulations etc.)
