Ultrasound Technologist Opportunity
At DMC Harper University/Hutzel Women's Hospital, we seek an experienced Ultrasound Technologist to join our team in Detroit, Michigan.
Job Summary
In this role, you will perform diagnostic ultrasound exams utilizing appropriate imaging equipment, verifying patient identity and reviewing medical records for exam appropriateness.
You will interview patients to obtain medical history and assess risk factors, explaining procedures and acquiring images as per script.
You will review images, document exceptions, and communicate data to radiologists, while also participating in process improvement activities and providing imaging education to residents and new employees.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to be registered by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARMDS) or the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) in Sonography (S).
You will also need to have or complete American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (BLS) training and register in specialty within 12 months of employment.
