The Department of Radiology of the LSU Health Sciences Center School of Medicine in New Orleans seeks an outstanding physician for a full-time academic faculty position in the Emergency Radiology and Body Imaging divisions at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Full Professor (non-tenure, clinical track). Special interest or training in Cardiac or Nuclear Medicine may be of interest, but is not required. Our department is dedicated to excellence in patient care, education, and scholarly activity.
We provide multi-modality radiology services for University Medical Center – New Orleans, a Level 1 trauma center, and also support the faculty group practice, the LSU Health Care Network. Scheduled work is anticipated to include day shifts, evening shifts until 10:30pm, weekends, and holidays, with ample time off. Responsibilities will include image interpretation as well as resident and medical student education. There are ample opportunities to engage in clinical research and scholarship.
Qualified candidates must be ABR certified or on the pathway to full-board certification, and licensed to practice medicine in Louisiana before hire date. Academic rank will be determined in accordance with School of Medicine and LSU System criteria.
