About the Job: Diagnostic Radiologist We are seeking a dedicated Diagnostic Radiologist to join our MRI Department at a premier health center located in the scenic Geneva, NY, in the Finger Lakes region. Compensation: $470,000.00 - $570,000.00
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Provide diagnostic imaging services, including X-ray, CT, MRI, ultrasound, and basic NM. Interpret and report on medical images, communicating findings to referring physicians. Participate in patient management, offering radiological expertise to medical teams. Work collaboratively within a team to improve service quality and efficiency. Maintain strict compliance with departmental protocols, safety standards, and procedures. Participate in after-hours calls from home on rotation, providing preliminary reads and emergency consultations. Contribute to continuing education, professional development, and research activities within the radiology department. Minimum Position Qualifications: MD/DO with Board Certification or Eligibility in Radiology. License to practice in New York State or ability to obtain licensure. Proficiency in interpreting various radiologic modalities including X-ray, CT scans, MRI, and ultrasound. Commitment to continual learning and application of the latest radiological procedures and techniques. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively within a healthcare team. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in mammography is highly preferred for on-site roles. Proven track record in a similar role within a hospital or large health center. Experience with remote radiological assessments and diagnostics. Active participation in relevant professional bodies and continuous professional development. Familiarity with health information technologies and radiology information systems. Skills: Technical proficiency in using radiological imaging equipment and software. Strong diagnostic skills with attention to detail. Ability to multitask effectively in a high-pressure environment. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Adaptability to work both independently and as part of a team. Strong ethical standpoint with a focus on patient safety and confidentiality.
