Position Overview:
Siemens Mobility Customer Services is seeking a highly motivated, entrepreneurial, and dedicatedDiesel Engine Overhaul Program Managerto innovate and supervise all engine related programs such as rebuilds, refurbishment, remanufacturing and second sourcing while keeping compliance with the regulatory framework (FRA, EPA) in regards of our Charger Locomotives within our rolling-stock maintenance processes.
Together with our Maintenance Technology Team, you will contribute to industry leading data-based prediction and health monitoring, transforming from a preventative and OEM recommended maintenance to a deductive, condition-based maintenance so that availability, reliability, and maintainability of our customers assets are further improved.
What your day-to-day will look like:
You will lead a dedicated, multi-functional innovation team, with many interaction points to Key Stakeholders, Maintenance Project Managers, Quality, Engineering and Procurement/SCM.
Establish new partnerships with component suppliers and an independent aftermarket to improve reliability and profitability of our service contracts. Your team finds solutions that extend service intervals of engine components, e.g. by implementing a continuous health monitoring system, designing a condition-assessment program together with the FRA and EPA, or improving the design of currently installed components.
Developing and implement Engine Overhaul Strategies together with OEMs and third-party suppliers to drive the life cycle cost out while assuring the highest reliability and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Monitor industry practices to identify applicable processes, products and materials that can deliver improvements in engineering solutions for maintenance.
Be the Diesel Engine Senior Expert and represent team as a global Competence Center for any diesel engine related topics, specifically in regards of Overhaul industry leading best practices.
Shifting from prescribed hourly maintenance intervals to duty cycle / fuel consumption-based interval cycles.
Collect, interpret and derive health monitoring models and alerts based on available remote diagnostic codes and signals.
To thrive in this role, you have:
Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or other technical field of study.
Minimum 6 years of experience in Diesel Engine Overhaul Programs.
Robust track record of leading programs.
Demonstrated an exceptional understanding of rail manufacturing or rail maintenance, digitalization, and business management.
Intercultural experience and collaboration with international Project Teams.
Demonstrated success in innovation projects.
Technologically advanced thinking and innovative attitude.
Capability to lead and motivate a team.
Demonstrably strong presentation skills.
Ability to travel up to 20% of the time.
Excellently demonstrated English language in speaking, reading, and writing.
Setting you apart from others would be an MBA with five or more years of direct customer service experience and experience with agile project management methodologies, Siemens-specific PM tools and methods, Project Management Professional (PMP®), or other Project Management methodology and terminology.

The base salary range for this position in Lexington, NC is $146,400-$198,000 and the annual incentive target is 15% of the base salary.The actual salary/wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, and qualifications.
