Visit the Morenci town website to learn more.What You Will DoSafely assist with maintenance and repair of heavy equipment such as, but not limited to: Haul Trucks, Water Trucks, Rubber Tire and Track Dozers, Front-end Loaders, and Motor Graders. Assists Mechanics with maintenance activities on transmissions, engines, brakes, differentials, pumps, motors, torque converters, final drives and other heavy equipment systems or componentsAssists with and performs preventative maintenance activities on heavy equipmentCompletes Work Orders and other maintenance documentationPerforms housekeeping duties and work area checksMay operate equipment such as: forklifts, cranes, and small mobile equipmentPerforms other duties as requiredWhat You Bring To FreeportAbility to understand and apply verbal and written work and safety-related instructions and procedures given in EnglishAbility to communicate in English with respect to job assignments, job procedures, and applicable safety standardsMust have completed academic and practical competencies required (this includes Line of Progression requirements for internal employees where LOP Exists) and have experience demonstrating the required aptitude.
