DIRECT HIRE: Amazing direct hire opportunity for an experienced Diesel Mechanic in the Sutton, NE. area. This position reports directly to the shop department manager. PAY: $45hr - $55hr (depending on experience)Benefits: Employee Stock Ownership Plan, 401k plus 3% Safe Harbor match, health, vision, dental, supplemental insurance, paid vacation, and floating holidays40hrs per week + OTRESPONSIBILITIES: Drive service truck to jobsite to conduct field visitsOil, lube, check and fill all fluid levels on heavy equipmentOil changes, sampling and filter changes on heavy equipmentFuel in accordance with company rules and Federal EPAGreasing of all pivot points on heavy equipmentInspects, diagnoses and repairs diesel-powered vehicles and machinesRunning diagnostic tests on diesel engines and interpreting resultsInspecting vehicle systems, including suspensions, steering and exhaustsRepairing or replacing vehicle transmissions, brakes, engines, or other associated partsMaintaining records of parts inventory and serviced vehiclesAny miscellaneous projects as directed by supervisorKnowledge, Skills & Abilities: Minimum 4 years' Diesel Mechanic experienceKnowledge of Caterpillar and Komatsu equipment and dump truck preferredKnow all service points on all heavy equipment used by the company or the ability to be trainedApplicant must have sufficient proficiency in English to understand commands, safety rules, instruction sites and the ability to abide by themTypical Physical Demands: Requires full range of body motion including handling and operating various hand and power tools, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordinationRequires use of foot-controlled pedals and sitting for extensive periods of time Regularly requires standing and bending over for extensive periods of timeRequires reaching, crawling, climbing, grasping, kneeling, squatting and twistingOften requires lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling items weighing up to 75 lbs.
