This full-time, hourly position involves providing high-quality service and maintenance to a variety of diesel equipment and vehicles, including trucks, trailers, forklifts, and other heavy machinery. As an individual contributor, you will report directly to the Service Manager. *Compensation & Benefits:* We offer competitive hourly wages based on experience and qualifications, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes: * Health, dental, and vision insurance * Retirement savings plan * Paid time off * Opportunities for career growth and advancement *Responsibilities:* * Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel equipment and vehicles, such as engine tune-ups, oil changes, and brake repairs. * Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues using diagnostic tools and equipment. * Complete necessary repairs and replacements on diesel engines, transmissions, and hydraulic systems. * Conduct thorough inspections of diesel equipment and vehicles to identify potential issues and prevent breakdowns. * Maintain accurate and detailed service records and reports. * Communicate effectively with customers and colleagues, providing updates on repair progress and recommendations for preventative maintenance. * Follow all safety procedures and protocols in the shop and on job sites. * Stay current with industry advancements and changes in diesel technology. * Collaborate with other technicians and departments to ensure efficient and effective service delivery. *Requirements:* * High School Diploma or equivalent. * Minimum of 3 years of experience as a diesel mechanic, with strong knowledge of diesel engines and equipment. * Must have own tools and a valid driver's license. * Experience in the auto industry is preferred. * Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills. * Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Strong communication and customer service skills. * Willingness to work flexible hours and occasional overtime. * Must be able to lift heavy equipment and stand for extended periods. *Additional Information:* EJ welcomes all current trade students and recent graduates to apply! *EEOC Statement:* EJ Equipment Inc. is an equal opportunity employer and values diversity at our company.
