Genesis Sod Farms is a family owned and operated sod business located in Central Indiana. We provide products and service to Landscape Contractors, Custom Builders, and residential clients. Our clients have the opportunity to purchase sod directly from us or request an install with our in-house installation team.
Responsibilities :
• Perform preventive maintenance (PMs), annual inspections, and repairs on all semi tractors and trailers.
• Address fleet and heavy equipment repairs promptly to ensure smooth operation.
• Communicate repair updates and status to the shop manager.
• Uphold professionalism and courtesy in all interactions with customers and co-workers.
• Actively participate in the company's safety program, including performing monthly safety checks on all fleet equipment.
Skills and Qualifications :
• Minimum of three years of experience as a diesel technician.
• Formal training is encouraged but not required.
• Knowledge of DOT compliance regulations.
• Proficiency in repairing engines, suspension, hydraulics, transmissions, and electrical systems.
• Experience with computer systems.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Must provide own tools within 30 days of hire (specialty tools provided by the shop).
• Familiarity with JPRO and ALLDATA software is a plus.
• Must have United States work authorization.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour
Schedule:
• 8-hour shift (8:00 am - 5:00 pm)
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
