Job description

We are hiring a Dietary Aid.
The Dietary Aid assists with food preparation for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
This role is responsible for food preparation in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations, with our established policies and procedures.
And may be directed by the Dietitian and/or Dietary Manager to assure that quality food service is provided at all times.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Knowledge of food preparation, sanitation and hygienic methodsCoordinate food services with other departments as necessaryWork with the facility's dietitian and implement recommended changes as requiredEnsure that all food service procedures are followed in accordance with established policiesAssist Cook with a variety of foods in large quantitiesAdditional duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS Dietary/food experience in a hospital, nursing care facility, or other related medical facility preferredMust have Illinois Food Service Sanitation certificationMust be knowledgeable of dietary proceduresMust be able to read, speak and write the English language in an understandable mannerMust function independently, have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with the residents, personnel, and support agenciesMust be able to move intermittently throughout the workdayMust be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 50 poundsMaintain a professional appearance at all times
