Florida State University is looking for a new team member to join an experienced, award-winning group of digital content creators! We are seeking an experienced, motivated, energetic, and hard-working person to join FSU's Office of University Communications as a Digital Content Creator and Multimedia Reporter . The ideal candidate is an innovative digital storyteller who possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills and stays up to date on the latest trends in media technology. We're looking for a team player with a strong work ethic, who's an efficient multi-tasker, and who's passionate about their work!This position helps to tell Florida State's story daily through multi-platform video and audio, and digital content. Our new team member will serve as a daily digital content creator and multimedia news producer for multi-platform programming, including video and audio for radio, television, social media and web content, to promote the strategic mission of the university. Daily responsibilities include producing a daily radio segment for broadcast, enterprising news stories, interviewing subjects on or off-campus, scriptwriting, operating audio and video equipment, and video and audio editing. This position will also serve as one of the department's backup emergency coordination officers (ECO) for FSU ALERT emergency notification system. Qualifications Bachelor's degree and three years of experience; or a high school diploma or equivalent and seven years of experience. (Note: a combination of post high school education and experience equal to seven years.)Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task on daily deadlines.
Experience operating audio recording equipment.
Experience operating video cameras and editing programs.
Knowledge of journalism, communications, and public relations.
Knowledge of media and public relations protocol in order to maintain effective working relationships with media, the university, and the community.
Experience producing digital content for multi-platform programming.
