This assignment posting is for an Agency Worker opportunity with Dotdash Meredith. The Agency Worker is paid by a staffing agency employer. Agency Workers will receive a W2 from the staffing agency reporting their earnings for tax purposes. PEOPLE is looking for a Digital News Writer to join our night team, working Monday to Friday, 2 PM PST - 10 PM PST. PEOPLE as a brand covers 20 different verticals of content, so this person needs to be comfortable writing about everything from entertainment, royals and lifestyle topics to crime, human interest and political stories. This is a fast-paced newsroom, so speed is essential, as is an ability to handle a volume of 6-10 stories a day, while still delivering everything clean, sharp, and accurate. This person must also be fluent in SEO and analytics. The ideal candidate should have 2-3 years of experience writing digital news stories at a national level. A passion for breaking news is a must and experience covering the entertainment industry is preferred, but not required. Pay rate: $30-35 per hour
