Dining Service Assistant

Qualifications Have good communication skillsBe a detail-oriented person and be able to perform duties with great accuracy each dayBe able to work shifts as assigned, including every other weekendMust have strong organizational skills. Performance Requirements Properly greeting all residents, guests, staffAdherence to all sanitation and food handling protocols.Adherence to all safety policies and proceduresMaintenance of confidentiality of all pertinent resident information to assure residents' rights and employee confidentiality are protectedAssuring that all dining services protocols and procedures are followed in accordance with established policiesWorks both in the dining room and in the kitchenPrepares and/or serves food for campus special occasions as directedControls serving size to prevent/eliminate waste and leftoversAttendance and participation in in-service training programsReporting of all hazardous conditions or equipmentReporting of all accidents or incidentsMaintain quality level of serviceRead Menu's for appropriate Diets and TexturesHave knowledge of Dysphasia dietsHave knowledge on thickened liquids.Attend meetings as necessaryWorks scheduled hours complying with attendance policiesFollows facility dress code requirementsTo perform other duties and responsibilities as deemed appropriate by lead cook and management Position Specifications Knowledge of sanitation, food borne illness, and cross-contamination policies and proceduresFull understanding of dining room operational procedures and etiquetteFull understanding of proper small wares handlingFull understanding of residents' rightsFull understanding of departmental policies and procedures Physical Requirements
