DIRECTOR SURGICAL SERVICES, RN FORT PIERCE / VERO BEACH AREA, FL (TREASURE COAST) IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL OVERSEE THE DAILY OPERATIONS OF THE SURGICAL SERVICES UNIT, ENSURING THE DELIVERY OF HIGH-QUALITY PATIENT CARE WHILE MANAGING THE DEPARTMENT'S BUDGET AND RESOURCES EFFECTIVELY.
YOU WILL ALSO COLLABORATE WITH THE MANAGEMENT TEAM TO DRIVE CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT IN PATIENT CARE SERVICES.
ANNUAL SALARY RANGES FROM $134,000 TO $162,000 COMMENSURATE WITH EXPERIENCE.

THE EMPLOYER IS LOOKING FOR A DIRECTOR SURGICAL SERVICES THAT COMES FROM ORS WHERE PATIENTS ARE ADMITTED TO STAY IN THE HOSPITAL.
YOU NEED A PERIOPERATIVE CARE AND SURGERY BACKGROUND.
THE EMPLOYER IS NOT LOOKING FOR A DIRECTOR THAT COMES FROM OUTPATIENT CLINICS OR SAME DAY SUGERIES.
RESPONSIBILITIES: You will accurately identify real/potential problems affecting the service and implement solutions with follow through and clear communication.
You will actively participate in service, departmental and hospital wide committees as assigned, providing ongoing communication to the team you represents.
You will advance the customer experience in Surgical Services.
You will coach subordinates through providing feedback and constructive critique of work.
You will facilitate individual development plans, and document job performance.
You will effectively communicate departmental, organization and industry information to staff.
You will facilitate evidence based employee engagement practices.
You will effectively build strong relationships and networks to deliver upon organizational and department goals.
You will participate in employee and patient rounding and identify and mentor potential future leaders.
You will enforce standards of care for surgical services and develop processes to measure and ensure consistent compliance.
You will develop, implement, and evaluate an ongoing surgical services program which assures quality patient care consistent with the Hospital mission.
You will monitor compliance with regulatory, accrediting and hospital policy, environmental, patient, and personnel safety standards or goals.
You will oversee a PI program that consistently monitors and evaluates critical aspects of care.
You will be responsible for the departments operational excellence by ensuring delivery of quality services in accordance with applicable policies, procedures, and professional standards.
You will follow the Hospital Exposure Control Plans/Blood borne and Airborne Pathogens.
You will enforce safe procedural site and patient verification policy.
You will monitor and respond to quality event reporting.
You will support new program strategies and/or program enhancements which would expand patient services.
You will develop, prioritize and defend capital equipment requests.
You will be responsible for the fiscal management of department; assures proper utilization of organizations financial resources.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelors degree in nursing required.
Masters degree in Nursing, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration or a related field preferred.
3 years of experience in a leadership role preferred or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state in which he or she practices, in accordance with law and regulation required.
Certified Nursing Operating Room (CNOR) preferred.
Certified Surgical Services Manager (CSSM) preferred.
COMPENSATION: Annual salary ranges from $134,000 to $162,000 commensurate with experience.
