Position Summary
The Director,340B PolicyStrategy, willserve as adeep technical expert in thepolicy analysis and development,business implications and operations of the 340B Program and will bework collaboratively with matrix partners to develop andexecutean integrated strategic plan for 340B across the BMSEnterprise .The Director will lead 340Bstrategies thatshapepublicpolicyin thelegislative,and regulatory environments that are aligned with BMS priorities.The role will also be the primary interfaceinternally and externally andwillbe responsible formonitoringthe external 340Bpolicyenvironment and serving as the primary BMS voice to the external 340B provider community.The Directorof 340B PolicyStrategy will partner with the cross-functional 340B Team, as well as relevant 340B KOLsand thought leaders that work with and that are related to the 340B program.

Key Responsibilities
Leads and developsthe development of comprehensive, proactive USPGA strategies that employ all relevantgovernment affairs tools, including lobbying, third-party and think tank engagement, public policydevelopment, and public affairs.

Lead,influenceand collaborate in the development and implementation of strategies designed to securecoverage and reimbursement for products supporting businessobjectivesinternally and externally via executive branch of government, trade associations, thought partners and alliances and other policy makers.

Collaborate with USPGA and cross functional partners (including Global USPGA) to develop, prioritize andimplement strategic business and advocacy strategies to address evolving policy and payment changes.

Remain informed and educate internal stakeholders on evolving Healthcare policy, reimbursement and channelrequirements andupdates,withan acute focus on 340B butincludingotherMedicare/Medicaidprograms and keypriority policies.

Assistinoptimizingportfolio access and mitigating risk in response to the rapidly evolving U.S. payer landscapeand policy changes.

Monitorthe regulatory landscape,identify, and respond to regulatory policies proposed byfederal/state government and/or commercial payers - including rules and guidance from the Centers forMedicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and other Ex. Branch Agencies

Requires knowledge of international and domestic government policies thatimpactthe pharmaceuticalindustry, as well as knowledge of how governments make decisions and what types of input can help shapethose decisions. The position requires the integration of political, policy and government affairsexpertisetodevelop and execute effective strategies.

Qualifications & Experience
Successful candidates will have a minimumof8-10yearsof experience in government, government affairs, orpolicy.Direct experience working withExecutiveBranch of Government strongly preferred.

Strong preferencefor experience in legislative branches of government, key think tanks, or Government entity such asMedPAC,MedCACdemonstrate understanding of political process, influence andhave the ability tocreate advocacy plans thatdemonstrateoutcomes.

Candidate mustdemonstratestrongunderstanding of policy and 340B via technicalexpertiseand competence, stronganalyticalandcritical thinking.

Mustpossessstronginterpersonalskills, the ability to speak andwrite persuasively and with clarity, strong organizational skills, flexibility, and adaptability to changingrequirements.

Bachelor's degree in related field such as public affairs, health care policy, political science, publicadministration, public policy, economics, or related fieldrequired.

Experience in biotechnology/pharmaceutical industry or public health is preferred.

Candidate must work well in a team environment and enjoy working in a collegial, yet highly demandingculture. Mustdemonstratestrong interpersonal skillsbeable to work collaboratively with business leaders andother internal and external stakeholders.

Must be able to be an effective participant on a commercial team and be effective in interactions with cross-functional partners. Strong business acumen, executive presence, relevant experience in healthcare andknowledge of the US and international reimbursement systems preferred.

Domestic travelrequired(up to 20%)
