Position Overview We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Director to lead the Technology Sales Consulting (TSC) team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of HCM solutions and services, along with a proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets in this domain. This leader will play an important role within our Sales Support Division, providing leadership and oversight to our TSC team. TSCs are an integral part of the company's sales organization, working with current clients to help them better identify their business objectives and leverage Paylocity product sets for maximum results and efficiency.
Primary Responsibilities Lead and mentor a team of sales representatives, setting clear performance expectations, providing regular coaching, and ensuring professional development.Establish individual sales goals, KPIs, and performance benchmarks for team members to drive motivation and accountability.Monitor sales activities and performance, providing guidance and support to overcome challenges and close deals.Conduct regular team meetings to review sales metrics, share updates, and foster collaboration.Conduct performance reviews and develop career progression plans for each sales team member.Sales Strategy & Execution: Lead the creation and execution of comprehensive sales strategies to drive growth in business. Define clear sales goals, performance metrics, and action plans to ensure success across all market segments.Monitor and analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to adjust sales strategies and identify opportunities for differentiation in the competitive landscape.Oversee complex contract negotiations and ensure the sales team has the necessary support and tools to close deals effectively.Work alongside tech, solution consultants, and marketing to develop GTM campaigns and an understanding of target markets for new products.Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, understanding their unique needs and proposing tailored solutions.Track sales performance and generate reports on individual and team results, sales forecasts, and key performance metrics.Utilize CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) to manage leads, opportunities, and customer interactions.Provide regular updates to senior management on sales performance and market conditions.Education and Experience Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 7 years of inside sales experienceMinimum 5 years of experience managing and motivating sales teamsExcellent B2B sales and customer service experienceStrong analytical and forecasting skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed business decisions.Knowledge of technology sales models, pricing strategies, and contract negotiations.Strong communication (verbal and written) and presentation skillsPrior experience using a CRM system for client managementAbility to meet deadlines and to prioritize workloadStrong knowledge of sales processes and methodologiesStrong active listening skills to be able to uncover client needs and objectivesProficiency with the Internet and MS Office applications such as Word, Excel and PowerPointPaylocity is committed to the full inclusion of all individuals. The pay range for this position is $89,100 - $165,500/yr; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This position is eligible for an annual bonus and restricted stock unit grant based on individual performance in addition to a full range of benefits outlined here.
