Job DescriptionThe Director of Alumni Relations will serve as the chief engagement and events officer in the College of Science. This position will be primarily responsible for providing leadership and guidance for the college's engagement and stewardship efforts with alumni, donors and friends to ultimately increase constituent engagement and philanthropic support for the college. Additionally, the director will work collaboratively with colleagues in University Advancement and in the College of Science to further Virginia Tech's overall engagement and institutional advancement goals and objectives.The director will be responsible for planning, promoting, executing, and evaluating alumni engagement programs, projects, and events for the college. In collaboration with the college's Senior Director of Communications, the director will strategize and implement targeted alumni communication efforts for the College of Science. This position will work in tandem with the members of the college's advancement team to pursue and promote the overall institutional goals related to communications, fundraising, and alumni engagement.
