Director of Analytics
Our client is a well known consumer product company looking to add a leader to develop the analytics roadmap.
The ideal candidate will bring both hands on technical experience, as well as leadership skills, and will be a member of the senior leadership team to help shape the organizations broader strategy:
Key Responsibilities: Create and implement an analytics strategy for both physical and online retail channels, establishing a roadmap to achieve this vision. Lead and mentor a team of skilled analytics professionals. Utilize advanced analytics methods to provide actionable insights from various data sources, supporting decision-making across retail channels. Develop and manage interactive dashboards to highlight key trends and potential opportunities. Direct the team in building statistical and predictive models to extract market insights. Design and oversee experiments and market mix models to enhance online marketing strategies. Collaborate with the Analytics Center of Excellence (COE) on cross-functional analyses, data strategies, and integrating behavioral and attitudinal insights. Continuously explore new data sources and market insights to stay ahead of the competition. Manage relationships and contracts with data and insight providers. Work closely with IS and the Analytics COE to expand data capture within a cloud environment, ensuring data accuracy and integrity. Educate and inform leadership teams to promote data-driven decision-making. Identify and track key performance metrics, using data analysis to refine omnichannel marketing strategies. Keep up-to-date with industry trends and innovative analytics practices to ensure the organization remains at the forefront.
Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Analytics, Business, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience; an advanced degree is preferred. 8+ years of leadership experience in an agile, cross-functional environment involving product, marketing, sales, engineering, and analytics teams. Strong expertise in data analysis tools and methodologies, such as SQL, Python, PowerBI, or Tableau. Experience in the retail industry, ideally working with or for a major brand, manufacturer, or retailer. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information to non-technical audiences. Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and influence key decisions.
