Alpert Jewish Family Service is seeking a highly experienced and motivated individual to join our team as the Director of the Annual Campaign.
Working with the Chief Development Officer, this position will play a key role in the organization's efforts to plan, manage, and execute the annual campaign.
This will include oversight on all annual campaign reporting and donor assignments, as well as identifying and building relationships with corporate donors, prospects, and key individuals in Palm Beach, Martin, St. Lucie, and Indian River Counties.
This position will also be responsible for identifying, cultivating, soliciting and stewarding a portfolio of prospects and donors capable of making gifts of $5,000 or more.

Director of the Annual Campaign Essential Responsibilities: Annual Campaign Strategy and Planning: Working closely with the Chief Development Officer, develop and implement comprehensive annual campaign strategies to maximize fundraising efforts, including setting annual campaign goals, establishing timelines, and creating strategies to engage donors.
Monitor the annual campaign performance by building, maintaining, and evaluating a KPI dashboard for the annual campaign in collaboration with the Chief Development Officer.
Major Gift Fundraising:Secure major gifts at the $5,000+ level.Manage systems and software to track and cultivate major donors and prospects, including our donor database and wealth screening tools.Manage a portfolio of at least 50+ major donors and prospects.Work with the Chief Development Officer to set annual major gift fundraising goals.Create and implement moves management plans.Make direct, face-to-face solicitations, and assist the board and other staff with their solicitations (e.g.
provide portfolio development support, strategic counsel, and help with donor communications).Donor Acquisition:Implement, continuously evaluate, and refine a multichannel donor engagement strategy, using data-based insights to increase donor acquisition, retention, and reactivation.Donor Cultivation and Stewardship: In coordination with the Chief Development Officer and the Chief Executive Officer, identify, cultivate, and steward relationships with major donors and lay leaders, ensuring effective communication and engagement throughout the annual campaign process.
Build lasting relationships with supporters to foster long-term engagement and increased giving.Annual Campaign Operations Management: Oversee all operational aspects of the annual campaign, including managing fundraising databases, gift processing, acknowledgment systems, and reporting mechanisms.
Ensure accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality of donor information.Team Leadership and Collaboration: Lead a team of Development administrative professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and support to ensure successful annual campaign execution.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as marketing, communications, and finance, to align annual campaign goals and strategies.Budgeting and Financial Management: Develop and manage annual campaign budgets, monitoring expenses and revenue projections to ensure financial targets are met.
Provide regular reports and analysis to the Chief Development Officer.Prospect Research and Analysis: Conduct prospect research to identify potential major donors and create personalized cultivation plans.
Analyze donor data and fundraising trends to inform annual campaign strategies and drive decision-making.Donor Events and Engagement: Oversee the planning and execution of special annual campaign events (including the agency's signature No Excuse for Abuse event), parlor meetings, donor acquisition and recognition programs, and other engagement activities to foster relationships with existing and potential donors.Ensure events are aligned with campaign objectives and effectively showcase the organization's mission and impact.Attend community events on behalf of the agency.
Requirements

Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., nonprofit management, business, marketing, or communications).
CFRE and/or advanced degree preferred but not required.Minimum of five years of experience in campaign operations, major gifts fundraising, and/or related roles within the nonprofit sector.Demonstrated success in planning and executing fundraising campaigns, managing donor relationships, and achieving financial targets.Demonstrated experience in successfully soliciting and securing gifts over $5,000.Direct experience in donor acquisition and retention campaigns.Direct experience soliciting and cultivating Jewish donors preferred.An ability to empathize with donors and clearly communicate our organization's mission.Proven understanding of data analytics, including applicable software and other measurement tools.Experience working with a donor database/CRM is required, proficiency in Donor Perfect preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Proven ability to lead and motivate a team, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented work environment.
Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to establish and maintain relationships with donors, board members, and staff at all levels.
