Position Overview:
The Director, Bid Management, is a strategic and experienced role on our Sales Engineering team. They partner with our Sales team to oversee and execute RFPs and Strategic Proposals. The Director oversees the bid management process, ensuring the successful preparation and submission of proposals for new business opportunities. This role is pivotal in aligning our proposals with client and prospect needs, differentiating our solutions, and driving growth for our product offerings.
Key Responsibilities: Bid Strategy & Management: Develop and implement bid strategies that align with the company's goals and client requirements.Proposal Development: Create, review, and manage high-quality proposals. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including sales, technical, and legal departments to ensure that proposals are comprehensive, competitive, and compliant.Bid Documentation: Ensure all bid documentation is accurate, complete, and submitted on time. Manage the preparation of supporting materials such as case studies, technical specifications, and compliance documents.Market Analysis: Analyze market trends and competitor strategies to inform bid strategies and improve proposal quality. Stay updated on industry developments and best practices in bid management.Process Improvement: Continuously assess and improve bid management processes and practices. Implement tools and techniques to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in proposal development.Reporting: Provide regular updates and reports on bid activities, outcomes, and key metrics to senior management. Track bid performance and gather feedback to drive improvements. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.Experience: 10 years experience in bid management or proposal development within a SaaS or technology environment with AI in its product offerings.Skills:Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously.Proven ability to create compelling and persuasive proposals.Experience with bid management software and tools including AI.Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret client needs and market trends.Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to problem-solving.Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
