The Director of Business Development for the Prescriber Channel for Amazon Pharmacy will focus on developing and driving the channel strategy and relationships across the health industry to optimize rapid growth. This leader will build a strategy focused on winning new customers and growing existing customer segments for the long term. This leader will drive revenue through meeting and exceeding targets while building a high functioning team and operating foundation for a long-term business. They will build, develop, and inspire a highly skilled BD Team.
You will be adept at building relationships with C-level executives and have a successful record of accomplishment closing large, complex, multi-year deals. You enjoy working closely with customer teams to develop strategies that highlight industry-leading successes across various forums and events. As the voice of the prescriber customer, you'll work closely with product teams to help them evolve the products and address issues, concerns, and requests from the field. You'll leverage creativity to build and convey compelling value propositions and work cross-organizationally to foster alignment and eliminate obstacles.
Key Responsibilities:Engage with our customers and maintain your own senior executive relationships.Engage, orchestrate, guide and coach sales team members.Focus on large, complex opportunities at all stages of the business development lifecycle.Provide thought leadership and catalyze action around BD processes, methodology and tools, competitive positioning and new product releases.Drive efficiencies and focus across the team.Effectively leverage and communicate with internal executive resources.Help define and support the product and tech roadmap to meet the needs of our prescriber customers.Accelerate customer adoption through well-developed GTM Strategy to achieve customer business outcomes.Expect 25-50% travel.BASIC QUALIFICATIONSBA/BS in Economics, Finance, Business or related discipline.Experience and familiarity with the Healthcare industry.10 years of experience in prescriber channel, business development, strategy or operations roles.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSMBA.10+ years of experience relationship building and influencing at the C-level of Fortune 50 customers.Experience building and leading a BD team.Demonstrate excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication, analytical skills and presentation skills.Demonstrate ability to manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously and drive goals to completion.Possess decision-making, creative problem solving, and negotiation skills.Have the ability to keep pace in a rapidly changing environment, which requires prioritization, constant learning, juggling multiple responsibilities at once, and taking calculated risks.Meets/exceeds Amazon's leadership principles requirements for this role.Meets/exceeds Amazon's functional/technical depth and complexity for this role.Amazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace. Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $232,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $345,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
