Job Summary: Provides leadership for administrative operations for a group of facilities or departments. Ensures high quality, accessible and cost-effective health care services. Implements Regional goals and strategies. Assists in planning, implementation and evaluation of regional clinic services, access and programs. Responsible for regional clinical areas as assigned. Supervises assigned staff.
Essential Responsibilities: Provides leadership for administrative operations for a group of facilities or departments. Provides high quality, accessible, and cost-effective functioning of operations at each facility or department. Collaborates with PIC and Clinic Chiefs to ensure that physicians are well supported.Leads in implementation of key regional initiatives to improve member satisfaction and quality of care. Leads strategic planning process for area. Determines areas goal and objectives. Leads development of tactics and projects to achieve these objectives. Collaborates with regional groups to design, develop, and implement care and service initiatives at the local clinics. Leads and promotes development and implementation of programs which ensure standards of quality defined by licensing and accrediting bodies are met.Responsible for regional clinical areas as assigned. Delegates responsibility to appropriate staff. Leads planning process for facilities, ensuring that facilities meet member, staff, and regulatory needs. Collaborates with facilities, design, and construction.Hires, trains, supervises, counsels, disciplines, and terminates assigned staff as appropriate.Communicates goals, objectives, accountabilities, priorities, and authority parameters to assigned staff.Basic Qualifications: Experience Minimum eight (8) years of health care experience to include short- and long- range planning.Minimum three (3) years management experience in large clinic or similar setting in health care industry.Education Bachelors degree in healthcare administration, business administration, or related area; or four (4) years of directly related experience.License, Certification, Registration N/AAdditional Requirements: Ability to build and maintain effective management team.Must be able to work in a Labor Management partnership environment.Demonstrated knowledge of and skill in word processing, spreadsheet, and database PC applications.Preferred Qualifications: Masters degree in Nursing, Public Health, Business Administration or a health care related field.
