This role will be within MH SE and MH PL hospitals and League City Convenient Care Center. This education team works collaboratively with staff and leaders across the three facilities. This position has Centralized and a Decentralized components within its scope of practice. Centralized duties may include teaching or build content for example: New employee orientation, Preceptor and Charge nurse classes, TEAM training, Skills days and Competency methods and validation, ACLS, BLS and PALS, LVN, PCT and Nurse Resident Program skills and development, and all Academic Affiliations are managed through this team. We are a Magnet facility and in the middle of our re-designation and this role also supports the Magnet committees and activities that support professional nursing excellence in practice. All team members are active in system specialty councils and facility level councils.What does a day in the life look like for the Director? Strategic oversight of clinical education for SE/PL/LC. Collaborating w/ clinical leaders, education, and other internal/external partners to design, develop, implement, and evaluate clinical education programs. Strategic oversight of the SE/PL Nurse Residency Program. Provide leadership oversight of nursing projects both at the campus and system level. Development and mentoring of clinical manager, educators, NRP residents, and front line as appropriate. Shared oversight of Magnet program w/ CNO.What are the pre-qualifications needed for this role in experience? 5+ years of RN experience, 5+ years of leadership, 3+ years of Education, 3+ Experience years in Director of Clinical Education capacity with matrix strongly preferred.What certifications or degrees are a must and nice to have?
