Director, Clinical Provider Support & Development, DentaQuest Location: We welcome applicants from anywhere in the U.S. Candidates located in CST, MST and PST Time Zones Preferred.

Job Description: The Director of Provider Support and Development, reporting to the Vice President, Clinical Affairs, provides subject matter expertise in the delivery of comprehensive clinical programs and patient care. This position provides leadership and oversight of dentist providers in a variety of states where Advantage Dental+ has practices. Working with various leadership teams, operations partners, HR and others, the position focuses on continuously improving clinical operations.

How you will contribute: Provides clinical leadership to the practices within Advantage Dental+. Leads Advantage Dental+ efforts in development and implementation of programs to support overall provider development across the organization. Works closely with their direct reporting Regional Dental Directors, the AVP of Clinical Affairs (and their Regional Dental Directors) as well as Operational leaders to develop targeted development plans as needed in support of individual employed providers. Establish a general provider development plan model that can be utilized across organization. Provide leadership, and direction for Regional Dental Directors who are directly reporting to them. Work with their Regional dental directors to identify key clinical leaders within each practice and region who can support the clinical teams. Work to develop leadership opportunities for dentist providers. Supports ongoing efforts with the Clinical Preventistry Model of Care. Provide clinical oversight of the clinical chart review and quality assurance auditing process in collaboration with the Director, Quality Assurance, and the Regional Dental Directors. Elevate risks as needed through the Quality Assurance and Risk Management teams. Care coordinate with Risk, Ops and Legal to help mitigate patient grievances that are clinical in nature and /or adverse events/incidences which occur as a result of patient care. Develop and maintain key partnerships with stakeholders for preceptorships in the states/region where their clinical leadership is of primary responsibility. Work with Regional Dental Directors and others when provider clinical deficiencies are identified to problem solve for solutions. Participates in various clinical and quality related committee meetings; leading meetings as needed. Provides internal consulting to the Vice President of Clinical Affairs and others on dental and oral health issues. Provides direction in connection with ongoing state specific requirements related to VBC (value based care) metrics, changes in dental board regulations, etc. at the request of the Vice President of Clinical Affairs. Assists Executive Clinical Leadership with developing clinical standard operating policies and procedures. Maintain a consistent practice visit cadence for those practices directly under their reporting structure. Facilitates onsite trainings for practice providers as time allows. Provides direct patient services in support of provider development, within scope and as licensure allows. Works in partnership with the regional directors of operations re: trainings and other activities that may impact patient care or the business. Maintains a collaborative and partnered approach with the regional director of operations. Performs assigned duties in accordance with the scope of licensing, accreditation, and federal and state regulations, including assisting in the development and implementation of appropriate dental and clinical policies, protocols and procedures that are compliant with the most current accepted professional standards. Attends Oral Health meetings as needed. Other duties as assigned. Travel 20-25% of the time. Field Team Leadership/Coaching: Coaches and mentor clinical teams to ensure quality standards are met and provide frequent and specific feedback regarding individual performance. Provides consistent and effective leadership to build and maintain a high performing team. Attends team huddles and provides 1-1's when possible, during practice visits. Influences team to achieve region, organization & corporate objectives while helping employees understand current and new clinical directions. Ability to demonstrate clinical procedures chairside with teams. What you will bring with you: Required: Graduate of an accredited Dental School (D.D.S or D.M.D) Maintain an unrestricted dental license, if required by market/responsibilities Experience in provider mentoring, provider development planning and quality assurance process Understanding of basic dental operations functions Resides in the contracted state preferred Comply with applicable federal and state statutes and regulations Knowledge of general dentistry Specialties experience a plus Efficient PC Skills. Ability to make independent determinations on all types of dental claims, where required by market/responsibilities Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to distinguish between multiple market benefits. Ability to prioritize and organize multiple tasks. Ability to remain organized with multiple interruptions. Attends additional training as requested/deemed necessary. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Must be able to travel regularly (up to 50%) Ability to work in a traditional professional office setting or remote equivalent. Ability to effectively operate computer equipment. Work schedule may vary and is determined by project schedules. Ability to efficiently operate all job-related office equipment. Ability to communicate via telephone / computer and work in virtual teams. The office environment is active with high voice levels and interruptions that may challenge hearing and concentration. If you are a California resident, the salary range for this position is:

Southern California region: $177,800 - $266,700 annually Central California region: $187,500 - $281,300 annually Northern California region: $200,500 - $300,800 annually If you are a Minnesota, Colorado or Nevada resident, the salary range for this position is $169,800 - $254,700 annually.

If you are an Illinois, Connecticut or Maryland resident, the salary range for this position is $177,800 - $266,700 annually.

If you are Washington, Washington D.C., and Rhode Island resident, the salary range for this position is $187,500 - $281,300 annually.

If you are a New York resident, the salary range for this position is $200,500 - $300,800 annually.
