The CSCP Organization is responsible for traditional supply chain functions such as Plan, Source, Make, Deliver, but also manages supportability (spares), decommissioning and disposition of Data center assets worldwide.

The Supply Chain New Product Introduction (SC NPI) organization within CSCP drives new product deliverables across the supply chain, working closely with Engineering, Program Management, Product Management and other key partner functions to ensure time to market growth readiness for all new products.
Well-defined supply chain NPI processes ensure predictable on-time performance, optimize costs, prevent urgent unplanned investments, and provide accurate, timely product readiness across the supply chain organization.

The Supply Chain NPI Director will be responsible for leading a Cloud Supply Chain team accountable for driving process improvements, improved effectiveness, and increased rigor across CSCP as well as our core team partners.
We are seeking a candidate with experience in Cloud hardware development, program management, and supply chain, who can influence executive leadership and other key decision-makers.
Responsibilities
As a Director, Cloud Supply Chain New Product Introduction (NPI), you will be responsible for the following:
Provide technical and supply chain thought leadership to build the next generation AI products, technology and supply chain
Develop AI/GPU process and NPI strategy that enables speed and scale to support rapid business growth
Facilitate technical and supply chain decision making to drive solutions, schedules, and manage change as required
Build and foster influential relationships with senior leaders across partner teams including Engineering, Product management, Data Center Operations and Supply Chain
Influence partner teams and leadership to drive change that improves CSCP scaling of new solutions.
Manage a team of high performing supply chain professionals through Microsoft's Model, Coach and Care paradigms
Act as an expert resource and share industry knowledge to supply chain and partner teams to drive excellence
Monitor team and project progress through Key Performance Indicators and guide the team towards meeting business goals
Scrutinize schedule accuracy and recommend decisions on implementation schedules for project deliverables across products.
Identify business transformation opportunities to drive increased efficiency and predictability in the new product readiness.
Work with internal partners to develop business requirements and roadmaps to improve automation tools, dashboards, communications, and advanced data & analytics.
Partner with key partners from Planning, Sourcing and Deployment to drive end-to-end improvements across the Cloud Supply Chain NPI process.
Lead business reviews at operational and executive levels.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field AND 6+ years experience in engineering, manufacturing, operations, program management, hardware development, or consumer electronics
OR equivalent experience in engineering, manufacturing, operations or a related area.
2+ years of Cloud/server hardware development or leadership in role outside of Supply Chain
3+ years of people manager experience leading and developing high performing teams
Other Requirements
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role.
These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Hardware Engineering or related field
10 years' experience in Cloud/server hardware development or leadership in role outside of Supply Chain
10 years' experience in project or program management with proven track record of success
10 years' experience leading and developing high performing teams.
10 years' experience in Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Sourcing, or Operations
Cloud supply chain experience
Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of staff and leadership
Ability to clearly communicate in English both written and verbally.
NPI Program Management M5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $137,600 - $267,000 per year.
There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $180,400 - $294,000 per year.
